  • Review: I bought this to run two tv's off my hd cable box. It does work just fine once hooked up. But once you change the channel, the tv's loose their sync, and you get static on both sets for anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds. This is very annoying, because when it is not hooked up you don't get the static when changing the channels. So it does work, but not as well as I would have hoped for.

  • Review: The product description decribes that I can switch 2 inputs into one output. From the product description:

"The 2x1 HDMI Switcher routes high definition video (in multiple resolutions up to 1080p) and digital audio from any one of the two sources to display unit. Two inputs accommodate the simultaneous connection of up to two high definition video sources, such as satellite systems and HD DVD players. The output sends the high definition audio/video signals to a high definition display. Switching is done via it self automatically when signal present on the ports. FEATURES : Switch easily between any two HDMI sources automatically."

I received the product today and the packaging shows only 1X2 splitting. All the product reviews describe 1X2 splitting.

Can this product switch 2X1 without damaging the A/V electronics?

  • Review: I use this splitter to send the signal from a Motorola HD Cable Box/Recorder to two LCD televisions. One set is connected to the splitter with a 6' cable, the other with a 30' cable. With this splitter I can now turn on one or both TVs and get flawless image/sound on both sets. No complaints.

  • Review: I have this device working with two HDTVs - with both on at the same time - perfectly. No loss in picture/audio quality and I can't tell any difference from when I had a single connection. The only possible problem I can complain about would be the flashing blue light that flashes behind my entertainment center which makes my family room look like an airport runway at night when all the lights are off.

  • Review: This product does what it says! I have 2 HD LCD's (JVC & Sony Bravia) hooked up with 2 25' HDMI cable from a 722 Dish Network DVR and they work independent or together, this is a great product.
